What IS a Doula?
A Doula is someone professionally trained to give continuous emotional and physical support to mothers during labor, birth and the early postpartum period. My goal as a doula is to hold an emotional space for you and your birth, to ensure that you are empowered in making the decisions that write your story and ensure your fulfillment of your birthing experience. I believe that the mother experiencing pregnancy, birth and the mothering journey deserves just as much care as the newborn being brought into the world. The experience is life changing and the emotional and physical changes deserve the care and nurturing of a doula. I serve the King and Snohomish County areas from Renton to Everett, and Seattle to Issaquah/Fall City. |
Next HypnoBirthing® Series Starting in May!What IS HypnoBirthing®?
HypnoBirthing®-The Mongan Method is not a 'new' concept of birthing but rather a 'rebirth' of philosophies that existed thousands of years ago. The method teaches that in the absence of fear & tension, or special circumstances, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of labor; That pain during birth does not have to be normal. You will learn how your birthing muscles and baby work in harmony, the way they were designed, so that you are deeply relaxed and trust in your birthing body. With practice, you will learn how to work with your natural instincts to achieve a deep relaxation for a more comfortable birth. (Continue...) |
